Raymond Arrona

Ray is a 3rd generation Arizonan born and raised in the Globe/Miami, AZ area and has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to leadership and excellence.

He attended Arizona State University from 1964 to 1967 before embarking on a distinguished career in professional specialty sales. Starting with ALCOA Subsidiaries Wear-Ever and Cutco Cutlery in 1967, Ray quickly rose to prominence through an outstanding and exemplary fast-start performance earning him a feature in TIME Magazine in 1968 as one of the top collegiate sales representatives in the Nation.

Ray’s career is highlighted by his achievements in building and leading top-performing sales teams. In the mid-1970’s, he transformed his Tucson, AZ district into the #1 district in the nation earning him a promotion and transfer to Atlanta, GA in January 1976. Then, in less than a year, he established the top office in the South. Managing several Southern States over the next 20-plus years as a Division Manager and through his consistent excellence in sales, recruiting, and development over a 30-year tenure – his career accomplishments earned him induction into the Cutco/Vector Hall of Fame in 1993. Ray’s legacy includes recruiting and training thousands of sales representatives, many of whom have also achieved Hall of Fame status. His career contributions have had a lasting and meaningful impact on the entire company. 

In August 2021, he discovered the then three-year old start-up company – Magical I Am with a mission of developing a never-done-before digital edutainment role-playing game for K-5 dyslexic and struggling readers. Driven by a shared vision to impact millions of young learners worldwide, this initiative inspired him to invest and ultimately join the board of directors.
